Lots of things do not add up in this case and was not undertaken in the correct way. I do not know enough about the case to predict whether she is innocent or guilty. What is quite clear is that there is enough evidence to say that she should not be on death row and that a re trial should take place.

If someone murders and they are to be killed for 'justice' is that not just as bad? hypocritical!

I pray my cousin gets the right representation she deserves.

I think that Linda Carty deserves a fair trial.

She should get a brand new trial, the evidence is overwhelming.

I do not know if this woman is innocent or not, but I do know that she does not have to die. I do not believe in the death penalty, especially in this case.

i do not think she should get death I am not sure if she is guilty or not but she does not deserve to die.

Linda Carty and her family have been mistreated by the Texan legal system. They have fundamentally been betrayed and Linda should not die due to misrepresentation.

Linda Carty did not receive a fair trial due to the representation of her original defense lawyer. I believe she should not face the death sentence.

I am British citizen who is 100% against the death penalty, but regardless of this it seems to me that even those who believe in such a sentence would struggle to claim that Linda was given a fair defence or that the outcome was justified given her history.

Linda's case is a clear demonstration of the flaws within the US legal system. The lack of concrete evidence, which follows with the lack of a fair trial by failing to address valuable mitigating evidence could potentially lead to Linda's death.

American justice?

I believe Linda should be given a fair trail with a competent lawyer. She deserves the same equal opportunities of all women (black or white) represented in Texas. It seems strange that a woman who wanted to steal a baby left the baby behind, did she have a change of heart or was her lawyer and the police just completely incompetent? More importantly, who benefits from Linda's death? I think as a society in the 21st century we should have at least learned something from all the murders the state commits, it does not resolve anything and no one benefits. So lets all get out of the sandpit and save Linda who is also someone's daughter, mother, sister, friend, and grandmother.,
