The increase in support has prompted a local news outlet to request an interview regarding the mobile food vendor ordinance. I am currently preparing the formal documentation to present at the next city council meeting.

Please allow mobile food vendors to operate after 2. There is nothing better than leaving the bar and being able to get wings from tail feathers. They don't serve any alcohol so this makes no sense to force them to shut down but allow restaurants to stay open.
Have the trucks purchase a permit from the city in order to serve late night food and that would be the end of it. Downtown patrons are happy and the City is happy and paid.
There should be no ruling against food trucks allowing the purchases of food after 2:00 am it is a form of discrimination to disallow food trucks businesses the right to sale and grant to the right to fast food chains such as Jack n the Box , Waffle House etc... 24 hours operation privileges to sale food . People /customers have the right to purchase food at any moment of their desire and it is unlawful not to allow people /customers the right to EAT .
Let's keep the food trucks open and not restrict their business. Often times I don't get off of work until 2 am and after a long night finding a food truck with fresh made delicious eats is much better for myself and the local economy than going to a chain fast food restaurant.
Late night food is just another way to support local and family/friend owned businesses, not to mention eating late night at local spots is a great way to sober up after a not of drinking, keep our community safe, and friendly to tourists.

Not speaking personally but we live in a great diverse city,! Many of our great city , ie, service industry who don't get off at our normal hrs. 8-5, they need love to. As well as good food
