Hard pass! The amount of traffic from existing planes is already excessive and a nuisance. Let’s also think about the pollution that’ll bring and the impact to salmon and other wildlife.

I would like to know that companies that rent kayaks, paddle boards, hot tub boats, and electric boats were more responsible renters, making sure the people they rent to are aware of Kenmore planes, rowing shells, and traffic patterns they follow. I coach rowers and the people who rent these water craft are inconsiderate and sometimes incredibly careless in the way they move around on the water, crossing or stopping in front of oncoming shells, zigzagging all over the place, etc. It makes steering a 65 foot shell incredibly difficult and dangerous to everyone. Rental companies need to be better on-the-water citizens!!!

While I realize Kenmore Air has a right to operate a business it does not have a right to 3000 feet of private space on a public lake. Lake Union should be a free use lake for all citizens. Perhaps it’s time for Kenmore Air to use the airports our tax dollars pay for.

No more planes we have to live here. What about our quality of life? The boise is already awful in the summer they fly over us low every 15 minutes.

Please Seattle, don't sell even more of yourself. The lake is used by so many residents and to build this dock would be a disservice to the thousands of people who use it

I live on the Eastlake side in a live aboard houseboat and find the seaplane traffic tolerable now. A traffic increase certainly would impact the quality of living as well as environmental and property values. I didn’t sign up to live next to a busy airport...

This is non-essential and will ruin not only real estate for homes on the water, but likely apartments surrounding the area. It will create pollution, create a massive obstacle for boaters in the area which will not only reduce tourists from visiting the lake, it will also reduce activity on the lake including weekly duck dodge and rowing clubs. It privatizes a public place which is something that could set a terrible precedent for Seattle. This is a company using its resources to take from the general public and I represent the majority when I say this cannot happen.

No, I am sorry, our Lake Union is not for sale! There are too many citizens that rely on this area for recreational use. Further, the environmental and safety implications are many.

I live aboard on a sailboat on Lake Union. Part of the nice thing about living on the lake is easy access to sailing and events such as Duck Dodge and Goosebumps. This proposed change would result in me and many others loose these weekly community events that can be had by all, for free, no matter how much money you have! Closing the lake would effectively make it so only the rich could utilize the lake! Not to mention losing Fourth of July festivities, New Year's Eve, and The Parade of Lighted Ships! All huge community events! Stop this madness! Seaplanes and boats have coexisted on the lake for decades! If this goes through, I, and many of my community will have to move to more open waters, killing marina commerce on the lake. Please be reasonable! Think of the hundreds, probably thousands, of people who live and sail on the lake. Don't let the rich, like Amazon, pad your pockets at the expence of age old traditions and folks who deserve to have a place to live in the city! It's already too much that the rich have created the housing crisis in this city! Don't take my back yard away! Don't force me and many others to have to flee, lose our homes and our livelyhoods for a few rich people!

Not sure why Kenmore’s plan is necessary ... the current system seems to be working ... and my understanding of Maritime Law is that boats have the right of way
