I've met Jax and been around him a bit. Never once felt threatened, actually the opposite, he just wants to love on everyone and be loved back. He doesn't deserve to be punished by death.

My board/train business owner has spent time with and has vouched for Jax. I tend to believe her.

The owners have the right to keep their dog and taken drastic measures to ensure this issue will never happen again. Uprooting the family to a new home with appropriate fencing. The dog, Jax has a right to a fair assessment of character. Statistically little dogs are the biters, has it been proven that the little dog started the fight and just didn’t win? It won’t happen again! Split the vet bills and call it a day, allowing the parties to go their separate ways.

First offense? Hardly seems like a track record to define disposition by! It’s on the humans that this interaction happened. Instinctual animal behavior was secondary. Probation perhaps? Punishment only after another incident within a certain amount of time seems more just - if this even warrants some sort of court-ordered consequence.

Due to the mistake of HUMANS a family dog must suffer. This is completely unacceptable!

Let Jax be with his family. They have taken corrective action and the dog should not be put down for a dog fight.

It sounds like the owners have taken all protective measures possible. This dog is not vicious and the government should focus its energy on the many other pressing animal related issues that exist.

In no way shape or form is this family dog a vicious dog that deserves to lose its life.

A dog shouldn't die for biting another dog. We as pet owners must be responsible for our pets behavior and be on the alert. Maybe make the dogs owner responsible for the vet bill but that's as far as this should go.

If this was the first time he did anything like this he should get a second chance! We let murderers get second chance why not animals. He is family to his owners and to have to kill him is wrong!!!!!

Please don't take it out on Jax. Little dogs will provoke bigger dogs. I know because my pug provoked a German Shepherd.
