I just finished watching the entire seven series on DVD. I had seen some of it before, so wanted to see it all from start to finish. IDEAL was an original mix of bizarre, funny, psychedelic, eclectic diverse characters and much, much more. It was one of the few things on TV that relates to neglected subcultures. This is the sort of originality that the BBC, now itself in Salford, should be encouraging. The way it portrays sex, Asian, homosexuals, gangsters, men, women in their frailties and comic stereo types, I loved it. Bring back IDEAL! PLEASE!

I've just watched ideal from start to finish. Genuinely depressed it's finished! Times have been trying yet ideal always puts a smile on my face and makes me laugh til I cry! How the bloody hell hasn't another tv company taken it on?! Best tv show ever and I only started watching it a week ago! Bring it back!!!!

Should never have been axed, it would be good to see what everybody is up to. Did moz end up getting a real job? did cartoon head die? What happened to psycho Paul and rainbow? Lots of in answers questions and there are so many ways you could follow the story on.

Ideal needs to return! It would be very successful, attracting old viewers as well as a large number of new ones. BBC comedy is at an all time low right now and ideal would be a welcome edition by many. Please bring it back.

Ideal completes me, i can remember discovering it on bbc 3 late at night, never have i watched a more relatable series.

bastards for cancelling this, a true classic, watched it iver and over again since its cancelation, such a kick in the teeth to graham johnnie and co, ive shown it to people onn my travrls in south america australia new zealand america and elsewhere and they fell in love with it and got its humour with ease, come on netflix bring it back

please let Ideal have a final series to wrap it all up. the least the BBC could do.

Definitely need another series at the very least. Hands down the best tv series the BBC has aired to date.

I have only just caught up with the end of this brilliant series and am very saddened that there are no more. It may be late in the day, but please bring it back. Even if it was brought back as repeats would be very welcome.

Are the BBC off their box? How can they scrap this great show after an award-running seven series over the two series wonder "Not Going Out"? Is it because "Not Going Out" is 'safe' for the snowflakes watching the BBC? Probably. I think it's time that PsychoPauuul and his gang paid the BBC a lesson.
