Save Goldhawk Road Shops

ONLY JUST DISCOVERED THIS AREA , CANT LOSE IT NOW

As well as providing livelihoods for many people this street and its shops is what makes London such a wonderful and diverse city (and not luxury flats)

as a long time West London liver and now resident of Shepherd's Bush I am appalled H&F council can allow this to happen. Shepherd's Bush has gone huge regeneration over the past 5+ years but the history and locals must also be allowed to remain to retain it's unique feel and sense of community which is being wiped out across this city. Goldhawk Road is an institution which must MUST be saved

please don't let this happen

I been going to Cookes since I was a boy and I am now 55, be such a shame to knock it down for flats

The 12 shops should be retained and valued as crucial to the character of the local area

Cooke & Co keeps Shepherds Busg specal. Do not destroy our local history. We don't want to be like everywhere else.

horrible new development on pie and mash and great fabric site.the council are money lead and not interested in local character and heritage

These shops and businesses provide a world of creativity inspiration and imagination for myself and fellow university peers for our ongoing projects. It's shops like these that help us bring our creations to life. As costume students, it can be so hard to source fabric that is suitable and affordable, the Goldhawk Road fabric shops are some of the main tradesmen that allow us to find such fabrics! Shutting down these shops would not only be a tragic loss for the shopkeepers but for creative students, professionals and public aswell.

Markets promote social inclusion

The fabric shops of Goldhawk Road are legendary within the fashion trade. It is a crying shame when the local council do not realise that they possess the premier division of fabric retailers and are prepared to cast aside this unique asset. I know London needs housing, but not at the expense of the vibrance of the local community. It is because the councillors do not sew, they don,t realise that Goldhawk Road is like Old Trafford in it's importance to dressmakers.

Goldhawk Road is one of the reasons I visit London. If it goes I will take my money elsewhere.

Goldhawk road shops area is an incredible resource and attraction for outside visitors like myself..please keep it..its a treasure!!

This part of London is part of history and we need to save it. These buisnesses have been trading for decades and contribute to a community
