Gary Orr, the man who not only brought back the Ramapo College swim team but also elevated it to a premier team in the Metropolitan Conference, was laid off in favor of another coach. This man bled his heart and soul into the swim program, coached through life-threatening cancer, and helped shape many young men and women's lives in and out of the pool. It is shocking that Coach Orr wasn't brought back not just because he has proven to be an excellent coach, but also because he was so well liked among both athletes and coworkers.
