Let the park be a park, once the school department gets it it will be another poorly maintained eyesore. Little league would be lost, litter and after hours drinking by teens would be pervasive. Property values would decline, as would quality of life for neighbors.

Please save Duffy Park!
It is well-loved and much used neighborhood park. Turning it into a football field would change the landscape for the surrounding neighborhood in a negative way.

The idea that adding a turf field will be “sharing” is insane- the beautiful field will constantly be in use and locked up. Keep this beautiful space free, natural, and open to all members of the public!!!

Compared to other cities (Providence, Boston, etc.) Worcester already suffers from a lack of neighborhood parks. There is no need to exacerbate the issue by taking Duffy, especially when so many abutters and neighborhood residents are opposed to the action.

Please keep the grass green and save the asphalt for repairing the road!
This park has plenty of parking and is great for the neighborhood. Doesn’t need to be “upgraded” to a turf field and larger parking area.

How is it fiscally responsible to spend that kind of money turfing a beloved public park for the short term? Can no one in the city come up with a scheduling plan that allows Doherty football to practice on an existing field??
