I may not have Mr. Chen and he may not have excepted in me in model U.N; but I've heard of his greatness and how much you learn in his class in a fun and active way. So, I hope next year I still have a chance not to just hear about his greatness, but know that he is great.

I have only been Mr. Chen's student for 14 days, but that time has been long enough to show me how intriguing and fun history can be. I was looking forward to the next two years of history class at Driscoll, only to hear after the 3rd week

Mr. Chen is the best teacher that I have ever had and he works extremely hard to keep us motivated. I had him for 2 years and never once got bored in his class. MR. CHEN CAN'T LEAVE DRISCOLL!

The first year I had Mr. Chen was Seventh Grade, when we studied Ancient History. Before his class, I viewed Social Studies as a dry, uninteresting subject, —taking notes about events from sugarcoated and often times inaccurate textbooks—while a teacher sat at a desk. Mr. Chen’s teaching style was completely different: He created his own PowerPoints, classwork, and homework assignments, while still following state curriculum.

I'm hoping this works. No, it's most likely going to work. Larry Chen is an amazing teacher and advisor, and to terminate him because of one word is ridiculous and petty, and there is no basis for it.

Mr. Chen is not only an outstanding teacher, he is also an amazing individual. He makes every effort to get to know his students on a personal level as well as make them comfortable in their learning. Mr.Chen laughs with us, grows with us, crys with us, and is a part of us. We all love Mr.Chen and I look forward to going back to visit him fom 3,000 miles away. So please, don't take away Chen unless you want to take away happiness. Thank you. -Former 8th grader age: 14
