Why build in the fields, there is limited open spaces for the kids/adults to play and exercise on. They should look at building where the old school was,

I think the council should lay off Cefn Coed rugby club after already trying to sell the clubhouse.

Absolutely disgusting if the council are prepared to take away this field from the children & people in Cefn Coed. Merthyr always gets a bad name for unhealthy people, yet this field is always used by so many people doing lots of different healthy activities!! The plans to build on here should be stopped!!

The village needs this green field for more than rugby, my son and his friends play football, ride bikes etc down there. The new school should be built on the Vaynor & Penderyn site

Leave it alone, use it to build a safe road to the Vaynor & Penderyn site and car parking for parents. Problem solved.

We have all worked so hard over the years to build up the children's rugby & do not want it destroyed. The council have confirmed there will not be enough space if thet build on the field for a full size pitch & the plans to have a new games area on the old Vaynor school, doesn't include any plans for new rugby pitches!
No consideration for the residents who live on the side of the pitch either!

Please SAVE this field & the positives of a community!! This isn't just a kids rugby field (as many think it is!) It's a well used, positive community resource for everyone! Build the new school in the dingle so it keeps the green space & prevents any safety issues with road difficulties for the children & traffic!!

The old school field shouldn't be used to build the new school. Too many people use it playing rugby, football, tag, dog walking etc.

We must not loose this green space in our local community. It used daily by children, adults and members of Cefn RFC. It will be great loss to the community if the school is built here.

We need to stop taking away the green playing fields in Merthyr Tydfil. This site in Cefn would be a huge loss to the community and particularly the children.
