We live between two apple orchards owned by Yonder Farms in Claverack NY. Begining at 2 am till late noon the next day a large tractor sprayer begins spewing large clouds of chemical pesticides up and down each isle of the large apple orchards. The poisonous cloud travels to our house so much that our cars have thick layers of these pesticides all over them. I shut the windows tight during these sessions even on humid or hot days and nights due to me being worried for my sons health and afraid of inhaling these chemicals. Even then we have been having religious sore throats and/or headaches. I have seen a change in my sons immune system as he has been sick several times since the spraying had begun. These harmful pesticides are not supposed to be used by streams however there is a stream running between these to Orchards. Neighbors also complain about these sore throats and headaches. I have written to Yonder Farms requesting the type of pesticides they use and no response. Please help me put a stop to this and protect my son's future. Pesticides can be extremely harmful expectially to children not only by inhaling by breathing but by the pesticides spreading to our yard, anything in the yard you touch, the chemicals they seep through the skin and affect a person just as much. Please help sign this pettition and get friends involved and help me keep my son safe.
