Please keep the agricultural portion of this school in place! Learn by doing is best represented at this dairy site and it would be incredibly unfortunate to lose the land to non agricultural purposes

Agriculture is the backbone of our society. As a former ag student at Fresno State I know just how important all of the land set aside for ag use was for our college. I imagine it holds the same weight at Cal Poly SLO. As a result, ag land should remain preserved for educational purposes. To remove it would be to eliminate an integral aspect of the learning environment for all of the students who select to study a career in agriculture.

Learn by doing is Cal Poly's motto. Taking away a place that makes that possible would be a terrible loss to the students as well as the faculty. I loved my DSCI classes while at Cal Poly and it would be a shame to see the department suffer

Keep Californias fertile land true to its roots, keep Ag in ALL the schools and higher education. If people can't eat, there won't be any students for the schools at all.

As a proud Cal Poly alumni from the College of Agriculture, it is appalling to me that I have signed two petitions in as many years urging Cal Poly to keep the agricultural land on campus from being developed as part of the Master Plan. I'm currently a high school agriculture teacher, and have had a number of students express concerns about applying to Cal Poly because of the changed attitude on campus towards agriculture. This campus was founded on the principal of "learn by doing", and without this valuable and important agriculture land on campus, the university will be unable to deliver on its promise to teach our future agriculture leaders using the principles Cal Poly was founded on.

Cal Poly is a university, not a sports company. Every student's main pursuit at Cal Poly is education, not sports. Learn By Doing comes first!

Cal Poly is going the way of CA and losing sight of the importance of agriculture, don't push away more agricultural students with any more similar proposals.

I have a BS and MS from Cal Poly's College of Agriculture- I love this university! However, to say I'm disappointed in the direction President Armstrong (who we thought supported agriculture, based on his background) is an understatement. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Warren Baker. While we never saw him on campus, at least he didn't allow our ag units to be up for grabs!

Once farmland is developed it is gone forever. Keep the legacy of Cal Poly SLO intact. Maintain a vibrant dairy program. Permanently remove this land from development.
