Training the next generation of farmers and ranchers is essential for the survival of the human race. Please reconsider your options in the use of this land !

Expansion is great and needed but not at the cost of agricultural land for the school.

CalPoly has such a great dairy program, I've met many wonderful future ag-leaders that had or do have their education there right now. It would be a shame if CalPoly would lose this essential part for there dairy program!!

As an alumni (BS Biology '01 and MS Biology '05) I think this is the wrong direction for the college to take. Agriculture land is a valuable part of what makes Cal Poly unique!

The agriculture program, including dairy science, is essential to the tradition of Cal Poly. I support this petition to keep the agriculture land from alternate development.

Loved my years at Cal Poly and appreciated the ranch and land made available for the Animal Science program. These undeveloped, agricultural lands are what make the ag programs so special. Please keep them available for future students.

This is just another assault on Agriculture by people who do not understand the importance of Agriculture Education and the learn by doing method. There are many things that can not be taught by books alone. Get a grip and realize that you will lose a lot from your current supporters who will not give to your college without the Agriculture influence. Taking away precious resources for growth and study will not make your college a place that people will want to attend. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was founded on Agriculture land grants. Keep the land the way it is!!! I promote Cal Poly as a learn by doing school to high school seniors looking for a good AGRICULTURE EDUCATION!! Keep it that way!

As an alumni of the College of Agriculture I understand the value of learn by doing and the importance of locating educational laboratories close to the campus center. Ag students should have the same access to laboratories as any other student at the university. Moving these facilities makes it more difficult for students to get to a from class and could lead to longer amounts of time for these students to get their degree and higher total educational costs. A master plan should place the students needs at the center of the discussion. Thank you!

Stop the stupidity! Leave the DSCI program as it is, and where it is, so people will continue to learn and improve farming and husbandry methods. Where does the food come from, after education stops?

In a world where they are trying to get rid of Ag... We must rise and show everyone how vital agriculture is to the world

Cal Poly was founded as an ag school, and as one in the top of its field, ag should be celebrated. Once the land is gone, there is no going back. Please do not expand the campus by taking away precious resources vital to the dairy science unit. As a Cal Poly alumni, I understand the importance of the hands on that CP is known for, please let the dairy unit continue teaching in ways that help the dairy industry thrive.
