To those building more student housing: Why can't we take down one building for one year, offer housing in Mustang Village like they used to, to have larger and updated buildings? Land is limited, the sky is not.

Having been an Ag Business major at Cal Poly 91-95, and then being the dairy farm manager 01-04. I know how vital and important that facility is to our state, our nation and our world. So many students have gone through that facility that are now very successful thanks to the experience they received thanks the Cal Poly dairy. Please make sure we keep that facility and the land around it in tact in order to continue to provide a stellar dairy experience to all the students in the school of Ag that use that facility. Also, the outreach and education for the surrounding communities on the Central Coast through all the tour groups that go visit the Cal Poly Dairy and learn about dairy production is a very valuable service that the dairy provides.

Agricultural lands are what make Cal Poly unique!

Cal poly's Ag program funded by California tax dollars can't be a walking contradiction to the same state's agriculture regulation. Open space and land is necessary to run a sustainable dairy. Regardless of who is funding it

One cannot have a viable Ag program without adequate pasture for animals. When so much is being made of sustainable and humane ag practices, it is amazing that arguably the best ag school in CA is considering developing this land!

Learn by doing is what seperates and elevates CP AG students and gives them an advantage when seeking employment after their degree. Take away the land, you take away these learning opportunities.

Keep the Cal Poly Dairy Science Program viable! If Agriculture is not important to you try going a week with out eating.

My daughters attended Cal Poly, and this land is needed for ag; nothing else, but Ag.

Cal Poly agriculture land is vital to the personal growth and future of all students at the university. The hands-on experience that it provides is what gives those graduates the "step above" other college graduates. The knowledge and lessons learned from those experiences help shape the rest of their lives.

Im tired of every year that someone comes up with an idea to take Cal Polys valuable Ag land for something else!! Cal Poly is a learn by doing school with irreplaceable Ag land!

You cannot be a true learn by doing school that boasts an amazing College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences program then take away land that makes these programs possible. If our beautiful Cal Poly gives way to buildings to make room for more students, we risk losing what makes this school so special. Leave the land alone so our incredible Mustangs can get the education CP is so famous for.

As a Cal-Poly grad who worked in dairy manufacturing for over 30 years this loss of land would I'm my opinion be the beginning of the end for the dairy department. Ag. is the # 1 industry in California and dairy is a major part of the open spaces we enjoy.

The Kelloge family is turning over in their graves. This is horrific. Preserve the land and the culture of agriculture.

I encourage Cal Poly's planning team to find other ways to expand/develop the college vs. converting the "Learn by Doing" environment to classrooms. If you need more classrooms, construct your buildings upward instead of outward. If you need more parking, build parking structures on pre-existing parking lots or continue to build the bus/walk/bike commuting.
