We, the undersigned, are horrified to learn about the Conservative Party proposal to abolish the historic and cultural hub of the Bangladeshi community from the new ward map by removing the word 'Banglatown' from the ward name.
We urge Mayor Lutfur Rahman to take up our concerns with the Boundary Commission and support our campaign to have Banglatown kept on the London map.

The feedback I keep hearing from residents is just how much this identity matters to their daily lives. We are still pushing for a direct response from the commission even though the lack of communication remains exhausting.

Banglatown is iconic. Why fix what isnt broken?? LEAVE IT!
Just another example of politicians not listening to local people. Respect our culture.
Keep the name. It is part of London now.
This area has so much history. You cant just go erasing names like it doesnt matter. Leave it alone.
My family has lived here for years. It is our home and our name. Keep it.

Ridiculous idea. So much heritage here and our community deserves to be recognized.
