We, the undesigned, hereby petition the Aspen School District's Board of Education to continue the traditional school year calendar and not to adopt the proposed "Balanced/Alternative" calendar.
Further, we urge the BOE to adjust the traditional calendar to allow for a Fall and Spring breaks that better accommodates the needs of the many families involved in our tourist-based economy.
The volume of support has reached a level that the Board of Education can no longer overlook. I have requested a formal meeting with the district superintendent to present these signatures and discuss the proposed calendar changes.

Living in a resort town makes this calendar change impossible for us. we need to be able to work when the tourists are here.

LEAVE THE CALENDAR ALONE!! This is what works for our families. Stop trying to fix things that aren't broken.

Adjusting for fall and spring breaks is just common sense. Please listen to the parents on this one.
