Archie and Friends comics have been around for a long time, since even my dad spent his childhood reading them. Although the style of drawing has changed through the years, it has never been altered in such a way as it is now. The "Dynamic New Look" stories appear less cartoonish and make many of the characters look downright ugly, including Betty and Veronica. Furthermore, the storylines are more dramatic, like an illustrated soap opera, not the fun teen stories of the inhabitants of Riverdale.
