This petition is made to encourage the Kauai County Council to reject Bill 2364. Hawaii state law prohibits vacation rentals on agriculture lands. Bill 2364 would allow vacation rentals on agriculture lands on the island of Kauai, which is direct conflict with Chapter 205 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The Attorney General of the State of Hawaii has opined that the County of Kauai does not have the authority to allow vacation rentals on agriculture lands.
