Hello All, The government of Karnataka is thinking of setting off a hydro-electric project in Sakaleshpur a valley in western ghats. This would involve destruction of around 500 Hectares of forest area and displacement of thousands of farmers, in phase 1 of the project. Western ghats being the treasure of South india,brings lot of rain into Deccan Plateau and being the source of many flora and fauna. Kindly protest against this disaster of mass destruction of precious trees/lives of animals. Destructing the nature is a global epidemic now.
