Padarn Buses have informed the council that they plan to stop running the number 6 bus from Bethesda to Bangor, via Mynydd LLandegai, Sling, Tregarth, Glasinfryn and Llandegai from the 28th of March! We need to spread the word within the local community that this is about to happen and try to collectively put a stop to it. Many people in the area do not drive (me included) and so rely heavily on this if skeletal bus service to get around daily. Not just to work, but to the shops, doctors etc. The bus as it is runs on a slightly strange timetable, which is not always easy to use as it doesn't connect with many services in town, just misses them or is so way out that you have to spend an hour or more waiting around for a bus somewhere else. Despite this, the service is much needed by the community and it would be terrible to see it gone. If you live in the area, whether you use this bus or not, please spread the word and together we may be able to help save it! The local papers will be in Mynydd tomorrow morning (8th Feb.) to talk to some members of the community about the service, and so hopefully the word will spread very quickly!
