Various blogs online are passing around dismal rumours [early Nov. 2011] that Apple may soon ditch their MacPro tower line of workstation computers, in favour of what is claimed to be "just-as-good-as" Mac-Mini's—with all the additional "stuff" added with expensive "ThunderBolt" high-speed peripherals. 


 This is possibly "good enough" for home-users. It is NOT good enough for content-creation professionals who have been loyal to Apple for DECADES.
