We, the undersigned, do not support the SLEEP proposal. We choose not to as it would negatively impact our students due to the elimination of all FCPS swim/dive teams, as well as numerous other after-school activities. We feel that the bell schedules for FCPS high schools, as well as middle & elementary, should be left as they are unless other accomodations can be made to avoid cutting extracurricular activies such as swim/dive.
I am honestly overwhelmed by the way you have all stepped up to defend these programs. If you have a moment today please help us get over this next milestone so we can ensure the school board actually feels the weight of our concern.

My kids have worked so hard in the pool for years. Cutting the team is just wrong. Find another way to fix the schedule!

So frustrated by this. Why do the kids always have to pay the price for the school boards poor planning?

If they cut swim they might as well cut all school spirit along with it. Bad idea.

Extracurriculars are what keep many of these kids in school and out of trouble. Totally unfair to slash them like this.

Fix the budget or the logistics some other way. Taking away after school sports is a lazy solution that hurts everyone.
