The Heath Park was not left to the people of Cardiff in order that the C.M.E.S could have part of the parkland to play with their trains. It would be interesting to know why they were allowed the land in the first place. Secondly, did they pay for the building of their clubhouse themselves and how much in rates do they pay a year. House rates around the Heath are quite hefty and I would be very happy if anyone can answer my queries.

If we don't preserve what little parkland we have now , we leave nothing for our children to enjoy as we have done .

Green spaces contribute to health and well being. Increase rather than reduce the green area available in Heath and Cardiff overall.

I am 96 and have enjoyed Heath Park since 1955 myself and with my children and grandchildren. It will be tragic if their children and grandchildren lose the chance to enjoy the park as I have.

Cardiff Council has a duty to preserve this green space for the enjoyment of all, not fence it off for the hobby of a few.

This land is supposed to be protected by a trust for the public to enjoy. I doubt anyone previously envisioned that in future years it would be sold off to a private members club in order for a small group middle aged men to play with their trains. Currently it is used regularly by dog walkers and other members of the public - there doesn't seem to be any benefit to the local residents in selling it off; the toy railway can still be enjoyed on the few days it is open to the public without any pressing need to extend it.

This is a private club which is a commercial organisation which wishes to restrict access to open woodland. A development here will have a detrimental effect on the local wildlife and prevent members of the public from enjoying their rightful access to that land.

How many more times do we have to go through this? Please respect the other people that want to enjoy the park now and in the future and stop keep trying to vandalise yet more of it!

I am appalled that future generations could be deprived of the opportunities which I and my siblings and friends had to play freely in Heath Park merely because of the greed of this private club which is run as a commercial organisation.

The privately owned Model Railway Club is yet again demanding more of our park land. I object to the loss of more green space which would be detrimental to wildlife and the enjoyment of the many visitors to the park.

I object in the strongest terms to the desecration of Heath Park by this polluting railway club. Heath Park is for the public 365 days a year and no group or presence should deny the people of Cardiff their right to access.

Seeing the same disregard for residents wishes up here in Edinburgh by an equally inept and short-sighted council wanting to use open space for development. I grew up next to the park and think it should be preserved for future generations
