They actually pulled the plug on the development plans and decided to keep the valley as a green wedge which feels totally surreal right now. I am sitting here staring at the screen in shock because this really worked despite how impossible it felt at the start. Please keep an …

NOTE This petition has been downloaded and sent to Swansea Planning 9am Frisay 30th September, due to the Council LDP deadline. However, it will be kept active online in case we need it again later. If you haven't yet signed, please do so, and leave your comments, some have been REALLY useful and informed us of things we didn't know about that have been extremely useful in the LPD process. We can still send in site-specific comments until January 2012.

Re Local Development Plan (LDP) KS 001, Killay South ward, Swansea. As part of the LDP process, the City and County of Swansea has proposed TWO candidate sites in Clyne Valley Country Park for residential development. Both areas are currently designated as Green Wedge, and are next to other areas of Clyne Valley Country Park which are designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This particular petition concerns ONLY the Killay site, KS001. DO NOT USE THIS PETITION IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED THE PAPER PETITION as it is worded the same as this one.

See links also for: Further details are available at http://www.saveclynevalley.co.uk/ and via the emailing group at http://groups.google.com/group/save-clyne-valley

WE WISH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SWANSEA TO WITHDRAW IMMEDIATELY THIS SITE FROM THE ABOVE LDP AND RETAIN ITS STATUS AS GREEN WEDGE/COUNTRY PARK

I have been reading through the comments all morning and I am honestly floored by the specific ecological details some of you are spotting in the valley. It is so quiet out there right now but that just means the work is all happening on paper and in these threads while we keep pushing back against the development plans.

This is absolute madness. Clyne Valley is for everyone not for some developer to pave over. Leave it alone.

Keep our valley green. Swansea council needs to stop building on every scrap of land we have left.

Infrastructure in killay is already under enough strain without adding huge housing estates. Stupid idea.

I grew up playing in these woods. My kids deserve that same chance. Stop the project.

Ridiculous. They dont care about the nature or the view. Just want more money.
