This school provides an incalculable service to the children in surrounding village communities and has done so for generations. You must not assume that all families find it easy or convenient to send their children to distant schools, because they don't. All efforts in all walks of life seem to be aimed at destroying the community formed by scattered small villages. You should be encouraging the maintenance of community life instead of desecrating it in this way. Ysgol Mornant is perfectly placed in a central position for the villages in that area - that is why it was built there, by a generation far more in tune with community life than the present authority. Please leave it open to be loved and remembered by many more generations of children to come.

I grew up in Bangor in the 50's, and now live on Deeside. Back then we were Anglicised, and my Welsh, though fluent in the everyday vernacular, is not of a standard gramatically, certainly not in the written form. Now we have superb Welsh language schools, and hopefully we can put things right. I shouldn't be having to backtrack on my mamiaith, and the fact that I am is down to the lack of Welsh in my school life. Yma o hyd, Ysgol Mornant bach, byddwch yma o hyd!

If the welsh government is trying to increase the number of welsh schools and speakers then I don't understand why they'd shut down my old school. Cadwch ysgol mornant yn fynd!

My taid went to it my brothers and I did and my nieces, I have great memories of Ysgol Mornant and which gave me a great start in life and helped me towards the career path I took. Also taught me the language I love, please let us keep this school open for the sake of the future generations of our community.
