live music attracts the opportunity for new customers who may not have been to that area of town before. It can lead to interest in a town that would benefit from more footfall.

Mold needs saving from itself. It needs this charming and wonderful venue to entice people into the town. The fewer venues and attractions, the less vibrancy Mold will have...and it will end up a night time ghost town, with just the rattle of the large brewery chains to be heard.

To offer a balanced opinion:
It is interesting to note that the majority of petitioners that have posted, do not live in Mold, or even the county.
I have been regular in the wine bar since 2000, and have enjoyed the ambience that Richard and Eileen created.
I fail to see how a music licence beyond 11pm finish, is of benefit to the town or the establishments neighbours. The wine bar has a reputation as a connoisseurs venue.
By trying to extend the licence beyond 11pm, the bar will become a venue for certain undesirables, of which Mold has plenty.
This will ruin the ambience that Richard created, and will have a negative effect on genuine custom and the peace deserved by the bars neighbours.
Judging by the amount of vomit and noise pollution generated by other late night establishments in Mold, I doubt that the citizens and pedestrians of King Street would benefit.
Yes, save the Wine Bar by other means, but a later than 11pm music licence is unnecessary and inconsiderate.

This place is an institution, and in my opinion the heart and soul of Mold. It should be saved without a moment's hesitation.

The delyn has played a very important role in promoting welsh traditional music in the mild area with musicians travelling from surrounding areas to learn and play the old songs and tunes of our nation each month. It is extremely important to us as a suitable and welcoming venue.
