As a long fan of the original Xbox and Xbox 360, I am disgusted at the new information microsoft has provided to us about the Xbox One. It concerns me as a gamer that their new machine does not work to our needs. Here is a list of major discrepancies they need to change or I, and many others will refuse to purchase the Xbox One. 1. The fact that the Xbox One is required to be plugged into the internet ever 24 hours (1 hour if on another system) to play games, including campaign and single player games that require no use of the internet. 2.The inability to trade/sell games (freely). As a gamer, you understand that after you play and finish a game you may not want to keep the title. Or you simply want to borrow one from a friend so you can experience the game before you purchase it yourself. 3. The Kinect always on, with the inability to unplug it or turn it off. This is extremely repulsive. As serious gamers we understand there is little use for this device, we use the controller for our action and waving our hand around would disrupt gameplay. MORE important, after the government program PRISM was exposed (a data mining program that saves all information), and the discovery that Microsoft was the first company to sign it. 4. No backward compatibility. As many of us know, there are many amazing games on the Xbox 360 and original Xbox. Unless microsoft plans to convert every one of these games to Xbox One, you will lose all of those games and hours spent playing them (unless you plan to keep both consoles connected). Having backward compatibility would be an appreciated gesture from Microsoft. These four things (and probably more when the Xbox One is announced at E3) are UNACCEPTABLE. As gamers our voices are not being heard, so let them hear it even louder. By signing this petition you are saying that these changes are unacceptable. You are telling Microsoft that it is so unacceptable, that you will refuse to purchase the new console or any of its games in protest to the changes. Microsoft as a company needs know the IMPORTANCE of their customers and their demands.
