Stop taking our doctors away !

This surgery is vital to the local community.

My family and i have been using this surgery for 35 years and all the local residents need to have a surgery to use .

The closure will mean less appointment slots - longer wait to see a Doctor when ill

I live in Ormes Lane and walk to the doctors, Lower Green is too far to walk to on cold wet days and the parking is inadequate.

This gp practice is essential for the local community

I have recently registered with the practice and staff are friendly, helpful and it was easy to get an appointment. Moving to the lower green will mean less availability of appointments and surely the surgery will then not be able to care for the needs of everyone.

I am completely against these plans to close Wood Road surgery. It is a vital part of the local community and provides an essential service. Many elderly and vulnerable patients will struggle to access the Lower Street site. I will be campaigning with Tettenhall councillors to urge the Clinical Commissioning Group to keep the surgery open, and I encourage others to join us.

I cannot see that Lower Street can handle all the patients. There is inadequate parking. Wood Road serves a large area and as far as I know there is no other surgery other than Lower Green in the immediate area. What about the elderly and disabled having to get to Lower Street? Surely the doctors ccan be split between the sites as they are now. I suspect the real reason is cost cutting on the overheads and not doctor availability.

If they close this surgery it will overload the lower street surgery and have a detrimental effect on doctors appointments going forward.

Living in tettenhall myself ,this is an easy assable doctors ,If patients are moved to lower green will be over crowded

This surgery proposed closure would have a devastating effect on the residents.

This surgery is fantastic. We have lived here for 16 years and have always been served well, although I have noticed the increase in appointments made for my children and me at Lower Green, of late, despite being patients at Wood Road. Is this to prove a point that Wood Road is surplus to requirements, somehow? Getting to Lower Green is not easy, especially if you do not have your own transport, and not everyone will able to walk there. Also, what will happen to the building? Another eyesore in the making? I am most disappointed that as patients, we have not been formally told about this proposal and I have only heard about it through Facebook. A significant proportion of the patients are unlikely to use social media and are the ones most likely to be adversely affected by the closure.

Mainly use lower street myself but already bad to park, have elderly sister and even elderly aunt use this one coz neither feel the need to take their life into own hands avoiding being run over on tettenhall road for a bus... Yes not everyone drives

There is a bus to Lower Green Surgery from Tettenhall Wood, but how can you be certain that there will be appointments available to coincide with bus times. And if the bus is late or doesn't come you will miss your appointment! Also, you can have a long after your appointment for the next bus. Also, many people who attend Tettenhall Wood Surgery are not on a bus route. Also, what will happen to School Rd Chemists? We have already lost The Hardware Shop - what next? Also, the car park at Lower street is always crowded and local residents also use it.

How can you close this practice how are the elderly suppose to get to lower green theres not even a bus that can take them there it just isnt fair
