Eliminating this program would not allow future students the opportunity to get involved in a career that is on its way to be the top 10 careers to have. The diversity, and different areas this job can apply to are endless.

This field is needed nation wide. This University is the only one in Illinois who provides it. Maybe if marketing of the major was focused on more so, enrollment would be higher. I have never signed this program even attempted to be marketed to spread awareness of.

WIU is one of the few universities that prepares professionals in emergency management. Emergencies always arise and you can not wait for something to happen to realize that there is no one who handles emergencies.
Keep this Emergency Management Program in WIU open.

If the university would do a better job of engaging with high schools and train their counselors on the program, they would find great interest from incoming students.
Unlike other fields of study/sectors where graduates will look for post-commencement employment, EM is within EVERY SECTOR in the U.S.
Proper management would cause this program to flourish and grow!
