My uncle is a pillar of the community from that area, all of Mala area for that matter. The State has nothing better to do???. Leave things be. LOCALS NEED A PLACE TO CALK THEIR OWN. Money has to stop placing themselves wherever they want to. Soon everything will be corporate ran, Hawaii will not feel like Hawaii anymore if this keeps on going. This is wrong to push someone out of where he has resided for 35 years. Lahaina is a fisherman town and uncle Wilson is a big party of that history.

He is the one that has put in the money to bring it up to its current value; thus, he should not be penalized for proposing a lower rent than A&K Ventures. In the long run, if he continues to raise property value, it would be better for the state to allow him to continue developing so that it could be later rented at an even higher value to a corporation, of course after he is finished with his work and is no longer interested in developing the area. That way, the state can make a lot more than an extra $30,000 a year for the approximate 20 more years that Wilson Keahi wouldl likely rent the boat yard.

Has become a common practice here in Hawaii,that the State and it's Officials take Property away from Natives to fill there own Pockets.Its a shame that every politician put money over their own people they should represent,their is only one word that can come up Corruption on a big scale ,look on all that's going on on the state and city levels ,police and others involved in corruption who wonders why is all going down the hill.Let this man do his buisness he does for over 30 years why you wanna destroy what he so hard worked for and invested in.
