I think it is terrible to see a native Hawaiian being taken advantage of when there is no need nor reason why he should have to give up after all this time when he is wanted and needed to provide service to his long standing clients.

The state should be happy and proud that a Hawaiian has put all his sweat and toil into this boatyard.. Does 35 years of hard work and dedication not count for anything?

Please, search your heart and soul and ask how you would feel if this happened to you. I implore everyone who is involved in this decision to do what is fair and fix this terrible obstruction of justice and make it right.
Let us Not go back in the future and find out that we have made YET ANOTHER INJUSTICE in the history of the Hawaiian People !

To Whom It May Concern
My name is Bev Allwood and I am a friend of Wilson Keahi.
Wilson, is the most wonderful, kind, and caring person you could ever know. He puts everyone before himself. I know this because I have known him for over 30 some years. There are a lot of takers in this world , but, Wilson is one of the true givers. He would help anyone who need help. He has always been a hard worker, loyal, and a man of his word. I am extremely upset that his Boat Storage Yard is being taken away from him and his family. After all his hard work, endless toil and dedication that he has put into it................ it is not right nor fair, and, whoever is responsible for this, should be ashamed of themselves!
Why should someone else come in after all these years and just take over another person’s business? I just don’t get it! Are we living in a Communist Society? I urge every one who seeks justice and fair play to stand up and speak out about this injustice to one of Hawaii’s own.!!!!!!

There has to be a law for what the state and Al Pelayo is doing to Wilson Keahi and where is the governor of Hawaii the people should think about this come election year -Bev Allwood ,Winnipeg Canada

My boat has been kept at Mala for close to 10 years under the ever vigilant eyes of Wilson. He has run the yard with respect, kindness and consideration. I personally would have been lost without his guidance and knowledge for boats as well as the sea. He took the time to help make me a better boater and to truely pass on what this island is supposed to be about Aloha and Ohana. Mahalo Wilson!!
