I object to the solar projects proposed for Will County. This solar industry has no regard for the land, the water supply, the wildlife and the residents of Will County. Moreover, the solar industry causes longterm destruction of farmland.

Stop the sprawl of unsightly solar fields A concise justification for halting large solar farm projects in Will County centers on land-use conflicts, environmental risks, and community impact. Opponents argue that many proposed sites sit directly in areas planned for residential growth, creating visual disruption and reducing nearby property values. Residents and local officials have also raised concerns about long‑term soil erosion, groundwater contamination, and the loss of productive farmland and wildlife habitat that comes with clearing thousands of acres for industrial‑scale arrays. Fire safety, decommissioning uncertainties, and the permanent transformation of rural landscapes further reinforce the case for stopping these developments.

I am sure there are thousands of other areas that you can purchase to place your panels that will not affect families and their homes.

Please consider relocating the solar farms to a state that has ample sunlight and distance from residents who depend on clean ground water.
