Last time I looked there is quite a lot of OPEN land in Sparks! The fact that WCSD wants to take an historical and beautiful golf course away from the residents of Sparks and Reno residents when there are so many other potential sites not adequately explored is flat out laziness and selfishness on their part.

We need to keep some patches of green or this city will be nothing but asphalt and concrete!

Everyone that is against building a school at Wildcreek understands that our schools are a mess and need help. As far as being labeled selfish and caring more about golf than our kids you couldn't me more wrong. WCSD has wasted more money because of poor money management over the years and we are tired of it. The cost of building a school at Wilcreek and the impact it will have it just another example of poor management. Furthermore golf teaches kids about respect, courtesy and how to be responsible, things a lot of kids are missing. Finally, at the rate of golf course closures there will be no affordable golf left.

This is the most ridiculous petition. This is all about selfish residents caring more about golf than the children in our community. I love how they say This has nothing to do with a new school. The bottom line is hat this community does not cAre about education or want to do their part to support the children in our community.

This is the most beautiful spot In Sparks...It supports numerous varieties of wildlife. With the traffic situation it is a very poor choice to build a high school! I strongly support saving this asset to our community!

This is my most favorite golf course. I would be extremely saddened to see it go. Aside from all the other issues mentioned it would displace a huge amount of wildlife that lives there.

This course provides recreational facilities for many, plus wildlife habitat for a multitude of species and I a wonderful open space

Please!!! This location is not the best choice. Too many negatives for a High School here: Traffic (huge problem/concern), flight path, flooding issues, the preserve the Mighty Orr Ditch, safety concerns for the children and being on McCarren. Really folks, there has to be a more appropriate location for this proposed High School.
