The shelters and sanctuaries all over this country are already overrun and bursting with the number of abandoned and neglected pets in their care. There is no reason to separate these pets from their home where they are loved, adored and wanted. This law is old, outdated, and serves no purpose. There are tens of thousands of us all over this country and the world who know first hand the love, intelligence, spirit and charm of these beautiful animals. We are a strong community. We stand with this family. We support their right to keep their family pets. We will not stop until this ordinance is reversed, not only in Jonesboro, but everywhere. We're with you, love Oink and Pearl. <3

Your ordinance is outdated and need to change! Potbellied pigs came to the US in 1987 as domesticated PETS - not animals intended for human consumption! The USDA does not recognize them as anything but domesticated pets.

This is crazy.! People treat pets as if they are expendable when it reality they are part of the family. Like an adopted child, just with more legs. You wouldn't rehome your kids if there was an "ordinance " so don't ask someone to rehome theirs.

I know these animals are kept clean & are in a super clean home. They smell a lot better than my dog does most of the time. They are not a breeding these animals for money. Animal rights activists can show up there at any time & know these animals are taken care of and spoiled rotten with love.

Danna has had her pigs for several years going back to the old hospital why are they suddenly a problem. A potbelly pig is not a farm animal that someone would use for food they bred and raised for pets. In cause some people don't realize that.

These are not farm animals, they are domesticated pets that are clean, contained, and mind better than most children or the other neighborhood dogs. Reconsider this ordinance, please.

Please think of how these two pets will grieve the loss of their family. They are very intelligent and are known to have the IQ of toddlers, you wouldn't take a toddler away from a loving family, so why do it to a pot belly pig.
