Animal control should worry about the people that are being cruel to animals instead of spending their time and energy hassling a family that loves their pets. I'm sure they are just doing their jobs and enforcing the law, but that's why it's so important to sign this petition to get this law changed. Let's allow this family to enjoy their pets that they love and consider members of their family!!

I think this is a shame. What is the difference in owning a snake or any other domestic Animal. There are to many in shelters that people are not taken care of.. Leave these people alone.

I can understand the need for the ordinance. However, it was written before potbelly pigs came to this country and their popularity. Obviously, potbelly pigs are pets, not food.

I think the pigs should be allowed to stay where they are with the people who love them
Otherwise, since they have been there all this time with no problems, the CITY SHOULD BUY THE HOME AT THE PRICE SET BY THE HOMEOWNER SO THEY COULD BUY A COMPARABLE HOME IN A PLACE WHERE THEY COULD NOT BE TOLD TO GET RID OF THEIR PETS, NEXT TIME THE CITY COULD TELL PEOPLE TO GET RID OF THEIR DOGS, CATSComma

The rule was put in place so no one would farm pigs for sale or food.these are loved pets and am exception should certainly be made . I really feel for these people who have loved these pets and I'm sure consider them part of their family.

As a fellow pig lover I was greatly disheartened to hear that keepping pet pigs is illegal in the city! The city shouldn't be able to take pets from people, so long as they are cared for and not causing harm to others. I hope this amendment is hastily passed.
