I know some of us don't like him but he doesn't deserve to lose his job because of idiotic teens.

Mr.Whitmire did the right thing. He only went to protect his students. Nothing more nothing less. He doesn't deserve to lose his job just because he was concerned about our safety.

He had nothing to do with what happened. He was just there to make sure his students were safe. He doesn't deserve to be fired.

Mr. Whitmire is a great principal who did nothing other than ensure our safety, allow us to express our freedom of speech & to protest, & made sure nobody was rioting. He should not be blamed for the decisions of immature students.

I belive the principal did right in standing by his students. He didn't organize this protest it was completely created by the students and the consequences shouldn't be inflicted upon a man who wasn't even part of it. If any of the students actions had repercussions then the consequences have to be given separately and independently on the actions of said student

Mr. Whitmire was there to make sure nothing go out of hand and to help supervise students as my peers exercised their right to freedom of speech and protest. Although things did get out of hand, he did his damn best to calm the situation down and get my fellow peers back to school safely. One can not blame him for unruly students who don't understand the definition of a "peaceful protest". Now if whitmire wasn't there, it would have been 10 times worst than it was today. Parents would be even more angry and upset if whitmire wasn't there to supervise and lead student back to the school. Bottom line is: Whitmire was there to supervise and make sure things went smoothly, not hype my peers up. That's just some yellow journalism BS a news website that has nothing better to report added on to a story that would have sided with my principle made up. My would he hype us up? Why would he want to be the cause of havoc throughout the city? Doesn't make sense, does it.

Our principal did nothing wrong. As he said in the Pitt News, we have our right to protest. One Principal & Staff cannot control 3,000 kids.

Hello my name is Lizbeth Mateo I am a pittsburg high student. I'm a senior Iv been there for my whole high school Mr todd Whitmire did no lead any students to protest. When school started he made an announcement to stay in class and do not miss class. But student did not listen and did what they posted on insagram. And twitter. They stood in the quad for a few minutes after the bell had rung. MR Whitmire saw this and went to speak to the young student and explained not "lead" what protesting is . And how they should know what they stand for. After that he told the students to go back to class. And that at lunch time he would hold an assembly for the students to protest safely in school campus in the quad butt a lot of students did not listen and decided to walk out of school campus and started walking out he had no other choice but to protect the students to make sure they were safe and I feel like he is being attacked but other adults saying he's to blame for when in reality he was protecting his students and doing what's right he even called busses to bring them back safe . So I ask of you to please help me clear my principles name thank you
