Remember our students with special needs. These children have a future at western . at western secondary there are all special programs for all the students. From trades ,special needs placement ,to college level academics. This school keeps our childrens educational needs first before anying else.

This is a school that should NOT be CLOSED for any reason. There is no other school in the county or in the city that will offer students a chance for a great future. These are world smart kids, who need that extra push to succeed!! My son is in his second year of Western. He loves the courses that are offered and the choices that are there to help him decide his future. Where other highschools may not have the programs these students NEED. You are making a "BIG MISTAKE" !! For you GECDSB members must not have a child who attends this school. Because you would TOTALLY UNDERSTAND as a parent what your child needs for their future. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

I transferred to western last year due to bullying at my previous school and ever since I've got there I've noticed that these kids need this school, they love this school, it's the one place they can go and not be judged for their differences, we're like one big crazy eccentric family, and I've become a part of it I love it at western and I'll be damned if they're going to take away my family and stick me back into an environment where I get verbal and physically abused for being different.

I have seen so many youth stuggle through elementary school to go on to western and make so much of themselves. closing this school, with so many success stories coming from there would be a real travesty! KEEP WESTERN OPEN>>>>

This school has done so much for so many. The reason most of these kids do so well is the fact that they are in he middle of no where. Put it in town and you will not have the same success that has been in the past, you will have more kids dropping out of school because they are frustrated with it all. WESTERN SECONDARY has given Alot of kids hope boosted there self esteem and created some fine upstanding business owners, chefs,etc

This school helps and has helped so many of us. Wester gave us courage and inspiration that some of us may not have got else where. They also taught us different ways of learning and helped us figure it all out. The things taught at Western a student will never get from another school not to mention how they may be treated at another school. My vote will always be for Western to stay open!

I'm a grade 11 at western and its helped me and alot of people and you should think about what you're doing before you close it . the drop out rates are gonna skyrocket the bullyings gonna get worse the grades are gonna drop so please keep it opened for us for the kids the go there ...
