The western united states has 18 coal fired units that will close between 2020-2037 with a combined loss of 16,223 megawatts,it will take around 5,899 windmills,it would take two thousand 500 watt solar panels to produce 1 megawatt.coal plants must remain open to avoid rolling black outs.
