Its a very bad move from the College who put profit before little children.

I used this nursery for my daughter 16yrs ago and couldnt have even contemplated attending a course without it. They were very supportive and infact picked up on the fact very early on that my daughter was very good at maths (she is now training to be an aerospace engineer at Coventry University!). Shame on them if they get rid of such a vital part of the College and good luck with the petition.

I was shocked & saddened when I heard the news about the nursery closing down...!!!
It doesn't make any sense when surely it will loose lots of people who decide to go on or get back into education but have a baby/toddler & the only way they can is to put them into the college nursery....
My Kyra who is now 9 went there & flourished & came out of her shell & was no longer the clingy toddler who wouldn't go anywhere without me to a confident toddler who looked forward to going...!!!

Please let this nursery stay open, I had many a good memory of the time I worked at this place. Would still be there if not for health reasons.
I also have a good few friends that without there I would never have met.
How do you propose young or single parents go back to study at the college to make a better life for them and their children without it around. Krystal x

Having worked at the nursery for 7 years I can't believe that they would want to close it. With a fab Bunch of staff I wouldn't hesitate to send my children there

My daughter attends this nursery and she loves it. All staff members are amazing. It would be very upsetting to see it close.

Although I am a mature student, I was once a working mother. What about equal opportunities? Are we going back in time?

This is a vital facility for staff, students and those on childcare courses. There must be other rooms in the college which could accommodate this nursery.
The government professes its enthusiasm for more nursery accommodation; lets see it act on its rhetoric!

My son attends this nursery for the second year and we rely on it for when I am doing my daytime course at the college. We also need this nursery for the next year. We love his teachers and hope that the nursery will stay open.

Closure of such a valuable asset will cause enormous distress & hardship to numerous people not least to the nursery staff & the children!

My daughter went here many many years ago. Don't know what I would have done has this nursery not be available. It would be a disaster to close it.

I don't. ask I am BEGGING the powers to be to show mercy to all these WONDERFUL young family's and children to save are relocate them ,as this plays a major part of there lives. How are tutors and students meant to further or carry on with their career without the accessible and much needed childcare available . A parents complete trust and confidence in their childcare provider is such an important but rare thing, I pray they will see the true worth of this instead of looking at their budget and prioritising other things.
