Class of 2010, during my time at Villa we didn't have Mini-Thon, but my sister was a part of the first event and I couldn't be more proud of her class and the classes after who kept it going. Why take away such a large event that teaches Villa girls to help their community, give to people in need, and raise awareness about a disease that affects so many people? Truthfully, I wasn't exposed to opportunities to learn any of these crucial life lessons until college because of the bubble Villa created in excluding them. What does it show to Villa girls to only have "fundraiser" events to better ourselves, like the annual fund?

I would love to hear the other side to this decision. Stopping this fund which is so important does not make send at all. But, I will listen to what the insiders have to say. I hope it doesn't have a negative affect or other fund raising for Villa in the future.

I am a student from Temple University and I am involved with our dance marathon. I was also involved with my high schools dance marathon. This is a great way for high schoolers to gain leadership skills and it is fun! It brings the whole school together to celebrate the lives of children who we have lost and who we are still fighting for.

Our experience with mini-thon this past year was that it was a a great event that offered the girls a tremendous amount of experience with planning and organizing. The intended purpose of the fundraiser THON speaks directly to me due to my immediate proximity to those fighting the pediatric cancer battle. I can think of no better event to galvanize this service oriented group of energetic and enterprising young women!

Villa's MiniTHON is such a positive event and brings the whole school together to have a fun day of dancing while raising money to fight childhood cancer. It's such a good cause and should not go #saveminithon

Mini-THON will always be my most cherished memory from Villa and it's definitely made the past four years really worth it. Just a PSA: there will still be one more Mini-THON this December, and after that the students can vote on which cause they want to donate to next school year, and the Four Diamonds Fund is still an option. Also, for those who don't attend Villa, it's not the teachers fault whatsoever, they don't have a say.

I'm very bothered that you would do away with such a worthwhile cause.

If your true goal is to donate to other types of organizations why not design your own thon and set it to 5 different organizations because I know this is the most money you raise in a single fundraiser which is very beneficial
PLZ SAVE MINI-THON
Great idea!! Sounds fun! Let's raise money!
