Save the Villa Rosa Bonheur

All historical building should be saved to remind the future of the past in some way shape or form!

The city is becoming overdeveloped. We don't want New York City to turn into every other densely packed generic metropolis!

I grew up i this beautiful historic building from 1948 to 1964

The developer should be fined/punished for the violation, not rewarded with a shiny new building.

The developer lied and should not be allowed to continue the demolition of this beautiful building.

I have been a resident of Central Riverdale for over half a decade, and I am appalled at the idea of this historic building being considered for demolition. This neighborhood is charming because of such buildings, and we must work to ensure that we keep as much of our rich history as possible. I have passed by this charming house on many of my walks to the Metro-North Spuyten Duyvil station. It helps to create a serene environment in what is truly old New York City. Please keep historic buildings alive! From domeinen who lives in The Netherlands where old buildings are saved and restored, consider that our Europe wasn’t so beautiful without old buildings and that this charm is also alive in Harlem!!

In addition to being a remarkable historic building—one of precious few that lend Spuyten Duyvil its charm—its sited on a tight parcel in a highly trafficked area. To cram a tower onto that land would be a travesty.

The amount of gentrification and distillation happening to beautiful old buildings is running rampant. We need protections in place to maintain the aesthetic and vibrant character of amazing old buildings that make our city so diverse and unique. This building should be saved and renovated in the current format, we do not need another glass and metal sterile monstrosity in place of a beautiful iconic building.

This is a beautiful building that needs to be saved and preserved.

This important, very beautiful building needs to be saved. Once it is gone, nothing like it will ever be created.

This is a fragile, historic building in an environmentally delicate area. Preserve and restore the Villa Rosa Bonheur and protect the surrounding neighborhood from possible asbestos and other hazards created by unpermitted demolition of the building's roof.

Please don't let this beautiful and historic home fall prey to heartless development.
