Save Victor Condo

The arguments are strong for protecting the Victor Condo Blendo project in Carlsbad. We residents believe the project to be of historical context and a welcome diversion from the generic hulks of the so called luxury condominiums template...enough of those already!

This project is a gem and should be saved !!

A reevaluation of the historical architectural significance needs to be performed.

Next will be St. Michaels, so the new delux condos can see the ocean.

Ted and Kathy are the greatest architects of our time. If we all listened to them the world would be fixed. Stop the stupid. Do something right.

I am strongly in support of saving Victor Condos in Carlsbad. They are a distinctively creative and wonderful contribution to our community.

Do not knock down this unique piece of architecture.

Carlsbad has history and it should be celebrated not torn down. We need more housing not less, this is silly.

This is so unique and beautiful! Please save them!

A good friend owned one unit for years. We always had Christmas Eve there. The condo was unique and I think worth preserving

Ted Smith is remarkable, and his efforts in utilizing recycled materials predate so many recent movements. To destroy these would give the next generation a reason to believe that our efforts to preserve and support the momentum behind “sustainable building” are null and void.

This is an iconic piece of architecture and landmark. We do not need another set of luxury condos that 99.9 percent cannot afford .

Please protect the Victor Condo that’s beautiful in Carlsbad!!

California has a bad record of maintaining our historically significant structures. This building should be preserved

Should tap the brakes on this one as the City of Carlsbad rushes to erase it's past with modern architecture that is served up bland and with lots of fees.

Stop tearing down old structures with character.

Sometimes/rarely architecture rises to the level of Art. This is a unique form of contexturalism by a Master Architect that influenced a generation of architects that followed. There are plenty of other sites worthy of demolition. -John oleinik
