There are easier ways to reduce university's budget than cutting out men's soccer program. This would be a shame after all the success they have had and the college experience that the program provides its student athletes. Please do not be so short sighted.

This program needs to be saved. It's more than just a soccer team, it's a family. A family that wants to be heard, and given the chance to save themselves. The students want it save, the faculty want it saved, the community and the state want it saved. It's up to you Chancellor Leavitt, we can make this work if you just give us the chance. Please come to the table and just listen to us, we have plans that will not only save the soccer program, but it can help the entire department get stronger. "We are going to employ some basic values of transparency and fairness to whatever happens...we have no preconceived notions right now on how we're going to bring the budget into balance. We need to have input from people, and we need to do this through looking at data." -Chancellor Leavitt
