The program is a value to the area. As a person heavily involved in club soccer and college placement for soccer players, this program is a great asset. UWO soccer has been a draw to my teams and players when considering schools. To drop the program hurts the local soccer players looking to extend their careers and take their game to the next level.

As a former college athlete I can say with certainty that I learned far more through the sport than I did in the classroom. This decision was made with haste and without a solid understanding or appreciation of the influence athletics can have on shaping character and developing confidence to be successful in the future. Isn't that the goal of any university?

As a former UWO athlete I am disappointed to see that two programs are potentially being eliminated. College athletics provides so much for student athletes and i would hate to see anyone miss out on such an opportunity. Please reconsider this decision!

The UWO mens soccer program needs to stay. When I was younger I wanted to be a player for Coach Bares. When I got older this did not happen, however it was a program that I supported because it helped me become the person I am today. If it was not for UWO, Coach Bares and the various players running the camps or coaching a club team over the summer I don't know what would have happened or what trouble that I would have gotten into. It is wrong that the powers that be at UWO are getting rid of this storied and very successful program.
