What a loss and sadly the transparency the chancellor quotes in article/interviews only applies to how future sports (baseball, women's track and field, swimming/diving, gymnastics, wrestling) will be cut down the line because of non-AQ or cost or liability or non-olympic sport.

Soccer has the best opportunity to make money out of most sport programs at smaller schools due to the coach to student ratio and relatively low costs to participate. A real lack of leadership is being shown by Oshkosh.

Playing soccer at a collegiate level or any level for that matter is an experience that every individual should have access to. It clears the mind. It promotes teamwork and leadership. It propels University spirit in a healthy way. It has impacted several of my closest friends in a way that is unmatched by any other opportunity. Consider these things before taking UWO Soccer off the roster.

UW-Oshkosh has a long-standing tradition of soccer excellence. It is a shame that a verdict was reached without giving the current team/coaches/players an opportunity to find a solution to save the program.
