I love coming back to UWO as an alumni and meeting up with friends from Nelson /Stewart Hall. One of our friend's son also went to Oshkosh and has played soccer . We cheer him and his team mates on and love to visit with each other.

I played women's soccer from 1992-1997. Had soccer not kept me on track, I'm sure I wouldn't have graduated. Playing D3 sports creates leaders, doers, folks who aren't afraid to do the work. That's what creates leaders in the workforce, community and schools. Its not about cutting a sport, it's about cutting a leadership development program. Of course the alumni are the largest group standing up for the sport, because we are the ones who know exactly what the benefits of being a student-athletes are. We were proud of representing our school in a postive manner and continue to be proud of our legacy. Mostly I'm proud of the woman, businesswoman, wife and mother I've become... and my character was developed equally by athletics and academics. I urge you to reconsider cutting men's soccer and tennis.
