There are things I don't want to know about on Uni Info, but it really does not take long to delete them and I have some rules set up for things I am never going to be interested in; and I review the rules fromtime to time e.g. when going on holiday. On balance I think it is worth keeping.

i work at a different local University and I can say that the difference that the open sharing of ideas makes is significant and very important to preserve. You can probably guess which University I mean!

It can be annoying and tedious but it is still vital as a community message board and brings the many campusses together.

I have never used uni info, and agree there could be a best practice put in place - more mindful emailing - but nevertheless find it a point of connection to the wider university community and therefore support the campaign to keep it.

The new staffcentral is excellent, and will surely filter many of the announcements currently clogging up inboxes. So keeping uni info with the new staffcentral may just make it more effective, and knowing it is there and still an option remains an important symbol for all staff at the university

As a very part time member of staff I find this a really useful and friendly network.

Let's keep the information flowing. We are such a large organisation - it is always good to know what is happening elsewhere.

Uni Info is part of what keeps this (multi-site and fragmented) University feeling like a community. It should be kept.
