On April 24, 2013 an eight-story factory building collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh, killing 1,135 innocent people who produced clothing for Children's Place, Cato Fashions, JCPenny, and Walmartand injured 2,500 more. Some of the top floors of the building were built illegally, raising questions of labor and wage laws. Over a year later, survivors are struggling to make a living and survive in their new lives, and families of those killed are STILL awaiting compensation for their losses. This was one of the most horrendous in a series of many past accidents and future accidents that must be prevented. Help to prevent future disasters such as the Rana Plaza collapse! Workers in Bangladesh and around the world are severely underpaid for their work, and by signing this petition, you will make your voice heard by large corporations that produce clothes in these unsafe factories.
