we need safe alternatives for drinking and driving that are affordable and that people will use!! Cabs aren't cutting it here in New Mexico!!

Having been in the resturant and hotel business for many years in NM it is almost impossible to get a cab for a needy customer. Uber has been a huge help by offering an alternative to an overburdened transportation service that will not step up to the demand. If Uber goes away, cabs will continue to be unreliable and we go back to step one. Which is not a good thing.

I am a starving actor and generally a nice guy with an amazing wife. I AM A UBER DRIVER! Uber has given me the opportunity to work on my dream and make money on the side to pay my bills.
Not only that but driving for uber made me realize the importance of what I do. "I" bring down the DWI rate in my community. "I" give a safe ride to people who have a right enjoy out beautiful city.
I have picked multiple customers who have said they would have drove home drunk if our services weren't available. Taxi cabs services take way to long to reach their clients

I use Uber else where and I love it! I just started to use it in NM and I'm glad it's here. It gives cab companies competition to get it together; customer service, clean and newer cars, and efficiency for pickup.

these ride services give citizens a SAFE ride home and give back to community. It is shameful for our government to try and take away such a beneficial thing... Especially with all the DUI issues, one would THINK the government would be happy to have such a service here in this state. Aside from DUI, there are people who this service helps get to and from work daily, to the grocery store, etc. Shameful to take this away.

Another reason New Mexico is stagnant. Stifling competition, removing entrepreneurial ways to earn money and reducing the safe ways drunk drivers can get home. Way to go New Mexico. Please stop this!
