Peter Capaldi has brought a realness, darkness and humanity to the Doctor that we haven't seen before. I believe this is because, since he was a boy, he has been a fan. No other can capture the inner-essence of the Doctor better than Peter Capaldi. He should remain as Doctor for as long as he is able to perform the role.

Peter Capaldi and the Doctor go hand in glove. We almost walked away towards the end of Matt Smith's era and then came Capaldi. He is the perfect blend of classic and new Who. He appeals to both sets of fans. We just are settling in with him as he was in the shadow of the Clara story line for two seasons. Heaven Sent alone should prove why we need to keep him on after Season 10.

Peter Capaldi is THE BEST DOCTOR since TOM BAKER! And as Tom was my favorite Doctor it was a tremendous accomplishment for Peter to be equal to-and in several ways exceed Tom. I think the fact that Peter is a die hard life long Doctor Who fan himself comes across in his portrayal and fans can all identify with him as he is one himself. So I expect Peter Capaldi to be the Doctor for a long time. Hopefully he can match Tom Baker's 7 year record.
